Course Description: Do you currently tutor or facilitate groups? Do you work on a one on one basis training staff? Are you interested in how adults learn? Learn how to share your knowledge with others! Suitable for both new and well established tutors/educators to team leaders and event managers.
This course covers practical teaching methods, learning styles, learning outcomes, embedded literacy and numeracy, course planning, group skillls, the characteristics of adult learners and much more! On the second day each participant delivers a 15 minute mini lesson to the rest of the group so that each student is actively involved in both feedback and different evaluation techniques. Participants are fully supported throughout this process.
This is an ASCEA* National Tutor Training Certificate course which runs for a total of 15 hours over two consecutive Sundays. To qualify for the certificate you need to attend both days and meet the course requirements.
By the end of this 15 hour course you will have:
- gained confidence in your ability to facilitate a group
- discussed adult learning styles and their relationship to tutoring
- acquired skills for creating a positive learning experience
- completed a practical exercise in course development, task analysis and lesson presentation
- completed an evaluation exercise
- gained a National Certificate for Trained Tutors
