Important Information

Refer below for information on enrolment, payment, term dates, office hours etc.

OFFICE HOURS: The CEW office is open Monday to Friday 9am-5pm during term time. However, we are often on the premises until later when classes are first starting.  If no one is immediately available to take your call please leave a message on our answerphone.  

PLEASE NOTE:

You can enrol in courses via our website. Any online bookings or emails will be responded to, so no response means we haven't received it!  Please phone if you wish to check that we have received your enrolment - 435 0889.

Term 3 starts on the19th of July and ends on the 24th of September. There will be a one to two week period at the start of the term in which we will be taking enrolments and most of our classes will start early August onwards.  Please look out for trial and information evenings for some classes.

PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
Please note that classes are not held on Public Holidays. 

ENROLMENT
To enrol in any of our classes please complete the online enrolment form. Payment can be made by:

1. Internet banking – please phone 435 0889 or email cew@kamohigh.school.nz for details
2. Mailing a cheque, together with enrolment details, to Community Education, P.O. Box 4137, Kamo 0141.
3. Calling into our office in the Kamo High School grounds (during term time only)

Please note that we do not have EFTPOS facilities.
                
ENROL EARLY
Late enrolments mean classes can be full or cancelled.

NOTIFICATION
In order to reduce paper waste (and our time) we do not confirm enrolments made by post.  However, we DO respond to enrolments via our website or email - no response means we haven't received it!  Please phone if you wish to check that we have received your enrolment - 435 0889.

We will  contact you if:-

1. there is any change to the date or time of your class
2. the class you wish to enrol in is full
3. the class is to be cancelled due to lack of enrolments

For this purpose it is important that we have contact phone numbers including a DAYTIME number and cellphone number (if available).  

FEES
We request that fees are paid upon enrolment and prior to commencement of the class.  This helps to keep costs (and fees) down, assists us with our administration and reduces interruptions to the class on the first evening.

RECEIPTS
Receiptswill only be posted out if a stamped addressed envelope is enclosed.

SCHOOL PUPILS
Sorry, but our funding regulations state that students under the age of 16 years may not attend any government subsidised classes.  Please check eligibility if enrolling a student in one of our courses.

SAFETY ISSUES
All care is taken to ensure our students' safety but due diligence is required by individuals. When working with equipment it is important that students adhere to basic safety procedures and follow any instructions. In our health & fitness classes we request that any health issues are disclosed before enrolling, i.e. pregnancy, history of a bad back or neck, any major or recent surgery.  For your own safety it is essential that we are informed of any condition that could cause concern.  It is also important that students work to their own ability.

DOG FREE ZONE

School policy states that no dogs are allowed on the school grounds.  This includes dogs in vehicles - please do not leave your dog unattended in your vehicle.  Thank you.

SMOKE FREE ZONE

Kamo High School is a smoke free zone. Smoking is not allowed in any buildings or anywhere on the school grounds.  We ask that you respect this and refrain from smoking whilst on the premises.  Thank you.
