7 February - 6 April

Term Two:
24 April - 30 June

Term Three:
17 July -  22 September

Term Four:
9 October - 8 December

As CEW is based at Kamo High School the programme follows the school terms with courses running quarterly.  The CEW classes generally start as from the 2nd or 3rd week of the school term and are staggered throughout the term.
Brochures are printed each term and these are available from your local library or Kamo High School.  If you wish to be on the CEW mailing list please provide details of your postal address.

PUBLIC HOLIDAYS:  Classes are not generally held on Public Holidays. If in doubt as to when your class will run please check with the office.

CEW Office Hours (when the office re-opens)

The following hours are during term time only (and will apply once the office re-opens). The office is normally closed during the school holidays.

MONDAY - THURSDAY: 10am-5pm
FRIDAYS: 10am-4pm

EVENINGS - OPEN until after 6pm the first night that a new class starts

SATURDAYS/SUNDAYS - CLOSED but I am normally onsite between 8.30 and 9am if classes are running that day

DURING SCHOOL HOURS -  if the CEW office is unattended please go to the school office.

AFTER HOURS - if the office is unattended I may be elsewhere on the school grounds setting up classes for the night and may be only 5 minutes away if you care to wait

As CEW is a one-woman operation there may be times when the office is unattended. If phoning, please leave a message on the answerphone if your call is not answered immediately.

Alternatively, please email through any enquiries. Emails are responded to promptly.

Enrolments

ENROL EARLY:  Late enrolments mean classes can be full or cancelled. Please look out for trial and information evenings for some classes.

ENROLMENT OPTIONS:  Please complete the online enrolment form. ALL online bookings will be responded to, so no response means it hasn't been received.
Please allow for some delay if enrolling over the school holiday period as the reply is not an automatic response.
If you wish to check that your enrolment has been received please phone (09) 435 0889 (during the school term). Alternative methods of enrolling include emailing cew@kamohigh.school.nz or phoning 435 0889

SCHOOL PUPIL ENROLMENTS:  Funding regulations may restrict students under the age of 16 years attending classes.  Please check eligibility if enrolling a student in one of the courses.

RECEIPTS: Receipts can be posted on request

REFUNDS:  If a class is cancelled a full refund will be given. In all other situations refunds are at the sole discretion of the CEW office and an administration fee may be deducted.
CEW reserves the right to transfer the fees to another course or hold a credit for a later date.

Disability Access

Every effort is made to accommodate learners with disabilities. It is helpful if you can advise when you enrol if you have any special requirements.  Please also advise in advance if you have any access needs so you can be directed to the best parking options and advised of the easiest approach to both the classroom and the closest wheelchair friendly toilets.

Safety

All care is taken to ensure the safety of students but due diligence is required by individuals. When working with equipment it is important that students adhere to basic safety procedures and follow any instructions. In the health and fitness classes it is requested that any health issues are disclosed before enrolling, i.e. pregnancy, history of a bad back or neck, any major or recent surgery.  For your own safety it is essential that you inform the tutor of any condition that could cause concern. It is also important that students work to their own ability.

Smoke Free and Dog Free Zone

Kamo High School is a smoke free zone. Smoking is not allowed in any buildings or anywhere on the school grounds. Please respect this request and refrain from smoking whilst on the premises.  School policy states that no dogs are allowed on the school grounds. This includes dogs in vehicles. Please do not leave your dog unattended in your vehicle. Thank you.

Evaluations - click here

It would be appreciated if you could take the time to provide us with any feedback. Please complete the online evaluation form or email CEW with your comments.

Please advise if you have a new idea for a course or if you would like to tutor a class. Suggestions for new courses are always welcomed.

Finding Your Classroom

On the first day, or evening, of your class there will be signs outside the school directing you to the classroom.  A map of the school will also be emailed to you prior to the class starting, with directions to the classroom. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to allow time to find the classroom.
