STITCHES IN TIME

Welcome, we’re excited to have you join us! This is a safe, enjoyable and inspiring place to learn more about sewing garments for yourself and your family. Learn to read a pattern, choose appropriate fabrics for your pattern choice, alter a pattern to fit your body shape, prepare the pattern and fabric for cutting and sew a garment ready to enjoy wearing it. If you are new to garment sewing, your tutor Sandy recommends making either a shift style dress, elastic waisted skirt or trousers, or a sleeve-less and collarless top. These are simple in design and have minimal seams. Note that fabric choices greatly impact your finished garment. Sandy will have samples of garments made from these types of patterns to help you in choosing your project at a prior information evening. Come along and meet your tutor Sandy Robinson and discuss the course goals and requirements, as well as meet other course participants. Machines supplied unless you prefer to bring your own. *Register early!
INFORMATION EVENING: Mon 16 Feb 6pm. REGISTRATION ESSENTIAL!
Ph 09 435 0889 or email: [email protected] to book.
What to bring: if you already have a pattern and/or fabric in mind, bring them both. Otherwise, wait and let Sandy guide you in making a choice. Note-book, pen and reading glasses if needed.
